The situation
Health checkups ran at 11 a day. Credit billing, nursing handover, day-care surgery billing, coagulation lab tests and account closure all took too long. Inaccurate patient files meant billable events were missed. Surgery adherence was 40%, and theatres were under-used. Billing and medication errors were high.
